Exploring Coastal Rocks And Tidal Pools

Explore the sandy shores along the coast of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa and be captivated by the amazing array of sea life in the rock pools which have all sorts of different zones from the dry zones where the animals are very seldom wet right through to the area closest to the sea where the waves are pounding. There are oysters which are soft-bodied snails. Small tidal pools with their own Ecosystems:  hard corals, beds of mussels attached to rocks and sea urchins. Be amazed by anemones, sea cucumbers, and the algae on the lower shores close to the waves.
