CEO TEKWENI MEDIA

ANTON HERRINGTON

Anton has 20 years experience as a cameraman, editor and director. His broadcast work has been screened on SABC/MNET/DSTV/US DISCOVERY TRAVEL/ SKY TV in the UK, Satellite TV in Italy, Scandinavia and Arab Emirates and on international airlines. Over this same period he has been actively involved in filming, editing and directing for the corporate market servicing clients’ needs with promos, induction videos, event and conference coverage.

He has won numerous awards for his filming including a merit award from UNICEF for a documentary on the Seychelles for which he also received an SABC Artes nomination for camerawork and was recently the recipient of a Simon Sabela Award for his documentary on the Spiritual Powers of Water. He is a Video Technology graduate from the Durban University of Technology.

PhD DRAMA

SANDRA HERRINGTON

Sandra has been scripting, directing, narrating and editing inserts and documentaries for local and international TV broadcast outlets for the past 25 years.  During this time she has won 62 national and international awards for her production work including a Simon Sabela award in the Legends and Heroes category for outstanding work in TV production and she is three times national winner of the SAB TV Environmental Journalist of the year award.

More recently she has turned her focus to developing the multi-media aspect of the company’s activities, and, in addition to her script writing and editing for video and TV, she also works as a script editor for feature films and novels.

PhD TELEVISION

NEVILLE HERRINGTON

Neville was awarded a British Council Bursary to study television production at the renowned Thomson Foundation Television College in Glasgow where he completed the course with distinction. For the following 20 years he lectured in television studies and production techniques at the former University of Natal in Durban, creating the first structured TV course at both graduate and postgraduate level at a South African university.

Since 1995, he has been involved in professional production work in the family-owned Tekweni TV/Media company, directing, scripting, editing and narrating  broadcast documentaries and corporate videos. He is the author of several notable stage plays and books.

VINCENT MAPHUMULO

Vincent has been with Tekweni for many years during which time he has acquired a number of skills in production and post production activities ranging from camera work to editing and final mixing and has proved to be a valuable member of our team.

He also serves, when needed, as one of a two man production team for other companies working on corporate and TV programmes.

CHLOE MEESER

Chloe, as our Admin Manager, is the key to the smooth running of the financial side of the business. She has her finger on the pulse of all the comings and goings in the company and is always ready to facilitate wherever she can with clients’ requests and queries.
